Team BMC travels overseas for last two races in the World Cup Series
The final two fixtures of the 2023 season's World Cup circuit are set to take place on the American continent. On the last weekend of September and the opening weekend of October, Team BMC will be competing in the locales of Snowshoe, USA, and Mont-Saint-Anne, Canada.
As the team prepares to compete overseas, it has high hopes of finishing the season on a positive note. Jordan Sarrou has consistently achieved podium finishes this year and Titouan Carod traditionally arrives in top shape in the latter half of the season, so there is plenty to look forward to.
The final part of the season has been quite demanding for the two French Team BMC pilots, who recently participated in the Olympic test event last weekend and now face the two upcoming World Cups. Similarly, Juri Zanotti, Team BMC's Italian cyclist, has had a busy schedule, closely following the racing calendar of his elite teammates.
During the previous World Cup in Les Gets, Zanotti and Steffi Häberlin were the standout performers for Team BMC. U23 cyclist Janis Baumann also made a successful return to racing after recovering from illness. In addition to their individual accomplishments, Zanotti, in particular, has set his sights on winning the team's classification in both World Cups, a shared goal for the Swiss professional XC team, which secured the overall team's classification victory last season.
The battles are far from over in the United States of America and Canada, as the fight for the overall World Cup classification is yet to be determined. While Sarrou may not have accumulated as many points as expected following his performance in Les Gets, a strong showing in Snowshoe has the potential to alter the standings.
