Tudor Pro Cycling continues to score top 10 finishes in Giro d'Italia
Alberto Dainese and Michael Storer continue to be Tudor Pro Cycling’s best-performing athletes in the Giro d’Italia. The Italian sprinter managed to secure another top 10 finish last weekend, while Storer performed similarly in the mountains.
Stage 13, from Riccione to Cento, ended in another mass sprint. Dainese, who has particularly targeted Stage 18 as it finishes close to his home, managed to show another excellent performance by sprinting to tenth place.
Stage 16, shortened due to the terrible weather circumstances, turned out to be an extraordinary day of racing for Storer. After an incredibly hard day before, with over 5000 meters of elevation that Storer did not digest super well, the Australian cyclist showed that he is still recovering greatly from big efforts. Once more, in another mountainous stage ahead of the final week of racing, Storer managed to stick with the best riders in the general classification.
While Dainese focuses on getting over the mountains in the most energy-efficient way to stay energized for the flat stages yet to come in this Giro d’Italia, Storer does not take a rest as he’s now twelfth in the GC, keeping his eyes and ears open for a unique opportunity for a top 10 finish in Rome, or a stage win in the third week.
