Swiss triathlete Julie Derron experienced the race of her life in August. Now, three days after the closing ceremony of the biggest event for athletes, she can reflect on what she achieved. “I am incredibly proud of my performance,” she says.
“My dad never pushed me to do the sport. I developed my own love for triathlon, particularly the long-distance disciplines. However, he has always been supportive and my fan. Actually, he is still supporting me as my coach.”
Plenty of events last weekend in which BMC athletes were competing. BMC Pro Tri's Lucy Byram, Clément Mignon and BMC-athlete Alistair Brownlee all competes in London's T100, while Richard Murray, Max Studer, Julie Derron and Sam Dickinson all traveled to Paris.
Winning the Tour de Wallonie was not only Trentin’s first GC-win for Tudor Pro Cycling, but also the first one of his career. He did win a stage in the Tour de Wallonie before: stage four in 2016.
